**Hochwürden of the Temple of Light in Bornheim**

Edvin assumed the rank of [[orgs:temple_of_light#Hochwürden]] upon the sudden death of his predecessor. Long known as an accomplish theologian he proved to be ill-suited to the task of running the church. The problems were magnified by desire to make personal decisions concerning all matters of the church. Edvin decried the weakness that had seeped into the church - crown subjects more interested in new goods from the ships in the harbor than proper respect for the gods.

Even in his youth, Edvin carried himself as a mature and studious man. Although his debating skills were poor his knowledge of many esoteric subjects carried the day. Even the masters at the seminary were loathed to get embroiled in a discussion of ancient church law with him.
