====== Benevenuta ======

**Benevenuta** is a priestess in the temple of [[lore:Techiuan]] in the city of [[atlas:Fountainhead]]. She is currently serving under [[people:Father Karl]], but hopes to raise her own congregation in one of the villages north of the city. Her and Father Karl have been saving what they could to make it happen. She was visiting a farming community with holy water when she heard Father Karl had been attack by a [[creatures:jundari|winged-man]].

She now has to lead a congregation who have only known Father Karl. It was Father Karl who found the artifact and if the rumors are true the same winged-man destroyed it along with his [[creatures:elf]] familiar.

===== History =====

Benevenuta was raised as a child of the [[orgs:Five Gods]] and her parents sole wish was for her to join the church; however a nagging whisper in her ear called her south. She left her home and journeyed for many days - finding shelter and food where she could. When she reached the city of [[atlas:Fountainhead]] she was lost in the fog of the city. She has been such since the last harvest before she was saved by Father Karl.

Father Karl had found a holy artifact of [[lore:Techiuan]]. The waters poured from this cup cleared one's mind of the fog. Benevenuta has pledged her service to this priest a soon became a priestess of Techiuan. She was not a naturally gifted speaker like Father Karl, but people seemed to naturally gravitate towards her. Other members of the church would approach her for advice or assistance.

She was searching for a place to build a second temple when Father Karl was attacked. Vengeance is not the way to Techiuan, but she will see the person responsible for harming the good father is punished.
