====== Batilda ====== **Batilda** is a skilled thief and occasional assassin when necessary. She was sold into slavery by her destitute family and after many years turned to people:Ruthinon, a creatures:Fae Lord, for help. He gave her the physical control to adjust her appearance in exchange for three favors. She now makes a living as a spy or thief for those who can afford her. She paid off one debt by stealing the voice of a witch and after that experience is motivated to pay off all of her debts as soon as possible. Batilda is smaller than average with a thin frame and short bob of brown hair. She prefers to dress and carry herself as a young man as it is less dangerous for her. After her experiences she feels vulnerable as a woman and is more than willing to leave behind that entire part of her life. She is not amoral, but is willing to do anything to clear her debt with Ruthinon. ===== Statistics ===== * **Occupation**: Spy and Thief * **Nationality**: atlas:Theodovan * **Family**: * **Lifetime**: 435 AH - * **Religion**: orgs:Five Gods * **Ethnicity**: creatures:Human, orgs:Theodovans ===== History ===== ==== Legacy of Marak ==== In the campaigns:Fountainhead arc of the campaigns:Legacy of Marak campaign Batilda had been given a task by her patron. She was to recover a dark wooden box set with ivory inlay. It was in the possession of people:Malcolm the Black. After infiltrating his gang she discovered he traded the box to people:King Merridan of atlas:Fountainhead. She convinced Malcolm to send her to spy on the King and send back information about trade caravans. She infiltrated as a different personality and after proving herself she was given the task of discrediting or killing people:Seirian. She disguised herself as Seirian to spread false rumors and during one of her missions was kidnapped by people:Duerte, who must have kidnapped Seirian previously and thought her escape. She escaped from the "Lord of Shadows" and was guided by her patron to where she was eventually kidnapped by the orgs:Gray Cloaks. Seirian was in the company of the PCs in the deep tunnels under the city. At a moment of confusion among them her patron swapped her with Seirian. It would now be Seirian who would be tortured by the Gray Cloaks and she would return to the surface in safer company. The PCs did not go to the surface, but eventually ended up at the atlas:Tomb of Aegrin where the Gray Cloaks were using Seirian for some ceremony. Everything was chaotic and in the end she was captured. After arranging a peace bond she told them what she could and they allowed her to leave the city - just well after them. ===== Timeline ===== ^ Date ^ Events (Age of Heroes) ^ | 435 | Born | | 447 | Sold into slavery by her family | | 451 | Trades three favors to people:Ruthinon for power | | 455 | Pays off first favor by stealing the voice of people:Heriphun the Witch | | 457 | Infiltrates gang of people:Malcolm the Black | | 459 | Infiltrates court of people:King Merridan of atlas:Fountainhead | | 460 | Disguised as Seirian she begins disinformation campaign | | | Captured when she is exposed as a double for people:Seirian | ===== See Also ===== * lists:Fountainhead Individuals * lists:Rogues * lists:Humans * lists:Theodovans
