**Captain of the Guard in Ulrichstein**

Adalfuns is the Captain of the Guard in the town of [[atlas:Ulrichstein]]. A common farmer he gained his position after solid leadership during the [[creatures:goblin]] incursion from 453-458 AH. His family now holds several acres of lands both useful for logging and farming. Although not noble, he is respected by several of the knights at court.

===== History =====

Once a farmer with only a small free holding land he eventually came to command the town militia spearmen. In 453 AH he led his men on a double-time charge to scatter goblins that had pinned Baron [[people:Tobias Kuhn]] against an unfordable section of the [[atlas:Aland River]]. For his bravery he was given a position within the keep guard. His skill and staunch leadership gained him the position of Captain of the Guard by 460.
