The **Toro** are a subset of [[orgs:Sunitakens]] who live on the [[atlas:Tulken Islands]]. The Tulken Islands are a cluster of volcanic islands located along the equator west of [[atlas:Aquanius]].

===== Origins =====

The Toro, along with the Atheen, Sunna, and Jagou, are a subset of [[orgs:Sunitakens]] that settled along the equatorial islands. The [[creatures:merfolk]] that lived near the islands took up the boon asked of the [[lore:magi]] of the elves. They not only taught them about magic, but seamanship, simple crafting, and fishing. 


===== Physical Characteristics =====

Toro bodies have longer bones and smaller mass leading them to be taller and thinner than other [[creatures:human|humans]]. As with other Sunitaken ethnic groups they have a long straight nose free of humps or curve. Head shape is generally long with a high forehead and cheek bones. Hair is generally dark, black being the most common, and straight with no to little curl. Eye color generally is dark-brown or black.
