The **Hutai Tribe** is a large tribe of goblins that have spread across most of the [[atlas:Blackthorn Mountains]]. They have absorbed many other smaller tribal cultures and are the dominant [[creatures:goblinoid]] culture in the mountain range.

The Hutai have spread throughout the Blackthorn mountains, conquering and displacing any other goblin tribes. They have avoided the territory claimed by the [[creatures:Rathari]] of [[atlas:Shinhorn Ridge]] of the [[atlas:Escarian Mountains]].


==== Hutai ====

The most prominent culture comprising over 70% of the population. The Hutai control all major decisions with their culture. They are the most likely to be seen outside of their homeland. They worship [[lore:Ugnis]] and burn at least three offerings a lunar cycle for his protection.


==== Formik ====

The largest culture that once held the territory of the southern ranges. They were conquered by the Hutai during the [[lore:Age of Empires]]. Many of the Formik have adapted to the ways of the Hutai including the worship of Ugnis.


===== Culture =====

The culture of the Hutai has changed over the years to more closely match that of the [[orgs:Blackthorn Clan]] of [[creatures:dwarf|dwarves]]. They have a single ruler advised by many others. Fierce and deadly conflict breaks out when the King speaks most times and the death of his advisors is not rare.
