A **Patron**, also called an intercessor or benefactor, is a mortal that has been chosen by an [[lore:outsider]] to enact their will upon the world. The most common patrons are those who served the [[lore:gods]] or [[lore:devils]]. These patrons allows the gods and devils to extend a very small measure of their power into the world without destroying it and themselves. It is through patrons that these beings receive a measure of the spiritual power of their worshipers.
