====== Origins of Life ======

The first life to evolve on the world of Miranda began much as lift began on earth (see [[wp>Abiogenesis]]). Over 3 billion years ago the very first life was formed in the primordial soup of the world; however life on Miranda evolved very differently from that on earth. At the core of the world lies the heart of [[lore:Mir]], who body is imprisoned in the single stat of the solar system. There is immense power in Mir's heart and while the [[lore:Earthmother]] power seals the prison, Mir's power draws power to it.

The power of the [[lore:Shadow Realms]] was drawn to Mir and wrapped itself around the prison - isolated from Mir's heart by the Earthmother nonetheless it calls to the power within.


===== Sentient Life =====

Before the arrival of the True Elves, the world of Miranda was a barren rock. The seeds of life existed on the world in [[wp>microorganisms]], mostly bacterial, but it was contained inside one of the [[lore:seven loci]] that formed the outer bars of the prison. The True Elves changed everything when they arrived. They created [[lore:Sylvan Vales]] across the world that formed new loci.

Inside of these new vales life began to multiple and get more complex. Oversaw by the True Elves, life spread and multiplied across the world. The elves did not change or guide this life, but instead saw themselves simply as the caretakers or watchers as millions of new lifeforms began to evolve.

==== Godly Species ====

The godly species are those that were created by the power of the gods when they walked upon the [[lore:Mortal Plane]]. Most of the species were created during the [[lore:Age of the Gods]] to fight alongside the [[lore:gods]] in their war against the [[lore:devils]].

  * **[[creatures:Dark Vampire]]:** Unintentional creation by Aesir when she created the Jundari.
  * **[[creatures:Dwarf]]:** Created by [[lore:Earthmother]] during the Age of the Gods.
  * **[[creatures:Elf]]:** [[people:Ellowyn]] is not a god, her the elves were the template of the following species.
  * **[[creatures:Giant]]:** Created by Earthmother during the [[lore:Firstborn War]].
  * **[[creatures:Merfolk]]:** Created by [[lore:Karash]]
  * **[[creatures:Ogre]]:** 
  * **[[creatures:Orc]]:** Like the elves they were created by a powerful [[creatures:Faerie Queen]] and thus are not true godly races; although they came from the bodies and soul of an elf.
  * **[[creatures:Jundari]]:** Created by [[lore:Aesir]] during the Age of the Gods.


==== Evolved Species ====

Only one species of life naturally evolved on Miranda, the Sha’rek’ta. However, several unique species did evolve from a evolutionary branch of a common ancestor.

  * **[[creatures:Goblin]]:** Evolutionary branch from Orcs.
    * **[[creatures:Kobold]]:** Evolved from goblins who lived near [[lore:draconic power]]

When the magi agreed to their pact with the gods and left this world they demanded as part of the price the right to sow their own seed upon this world - as the gods created their own children. The magi created three species; humans, brund, and the ged-zari.

  * **[[creatures:Shaktar]]:** Created from reptiles
    * **[[creatures:Marlot]]:** Created from remains of [[creatures:dinosaurs]]
    * **[[creatures:Shoag]]:** Created from ancestor of alligators and crocodiles
    * **[[creatures:Zeti]]:** Created from ancestor of desert lizard
  * **[[creatures:Magi]]:** Most powerful of their creations, their true successors.
    * **[[creatures:Brund]]:** Physically adaptable and robust
    * **[[creatures:Ged-zari]]:** Psychic spirits of intellect
    * **[[creatures:Human]]:**
