The **Night Serpent** was one of the guardians that stood over the last living things on the world before [[lore:The Great Cataclysm]] destroyed nearly everything. The Night Serpent's domain was the rivers that flowed from the mountains ringing the edge of [[atlas:Nelphil]] until they ran to the sea. The Night Serpent often warred with the [[lore:Devourer]] for control of the shallows near land.
