====== Heaven's Gate ======

This gate was fashioned during the end of the [[age of the gods]] by the [[gods]] to forever keep the three [[realms]] from each other and repair the damage they caused in barrier surrounding the [[Shadow Realms]]. The gate was crafted using the knowledge the gods gleaned from the [[The Chaos#Titan Gate]] crafted by the [[titans]]. The gods did not fashion the gate from their own bodies, because while they hold the power of [[The Creator|creation]], they are not made of creation. Instead many of the gods each gave up a portion of their creation and they pulled the [[un-life]] from the devils to balance their own power.


===== The Three-Way Path =====
The gate seals off each of the realms, but when the gate is opened anyone passing through can travel to the [[Divine Realms|Divine]], [[Infernal Realms|Infernal]], or Shadow Realms - this is known as the three-way path. There is a danger each time the gate is opened, should any being carrying enough creation or un-life with it pass through the gate it is possible the gate will collapse destroying each of the three realms. For this reason both the gods and [[devils]] use only the smallest bit of their power to create and [[creatures:avatar]] and send that into the another realm.


===== The Prophecy =====
When the gate was completed [[The Oracle]] gave a prophecy. She spoke of a great hunger that would emerge from the gate that would consume each of the three realms. This would all begin with a betrayal and only be stopped by some wielding both the power of creation and the un-life. Knowing the danger of ignoring the prophecy, but also the danger in following it blindly, [[Vayne]] the god of battle stands watch over the gate. None may pass through the gate except by his allowance or by defeating him in battle.
