The Bloodstaff is both drawn to bloody conflict as well as creator of those conflicts. As the staff was first fashioned in the town of [[atlas:Ulrichstein]], it frequently returns there.

The true origins of the staff is known to only a few elves. It would be nearly impossible for any others to determine what really happened - even the elves would never suspect its origins.

The Bloodstaff was already a powerful artifact in its own right. Fashioned by the [[creatures:elf#True Elf|True Elves]], it was designed to hunt spirits an ghosts whose presence upon this world is difficult to control.
