====== Temperate Biome ======

The **Temperate Biome** or **tepid** latitudes lie between the [[creatures:Subtropical Biome|subtropics]] and [[creatures:polar biome|polar regions]]. These regions have generally moderate temperatures, rather than extremely hot or cold variations. Changes between summer and winter tend to be gradual as well.

  * **Warm Temperate**
    * Occasional frost with most rainfall during the summer
    * Mostly evergreen forests somewhat frost-resistant
  * **Nemoral**
    * Moderate climate with winter freezing
    * Frost-resistant [[wp>deciduous]] forests
  * **Continental**
    * Arid with warm or hot summers and cold winters
    * Grasslands and temperate deserts
