====== Goblinoid ======

**Goblinoids** are a branch of [[creatures:Blackbloods]] that first arose during the [[lore:Dark Ages]]. Far smaller that other blackbloods, goblinoids have square muscular chests with overly long arms and shorter feet.


===== Family =====

There are three types of goblinoids; [[#Goblins]] are the most numerous, [[#Hobgoblins]] result from a mating between goblins and an [[creatures:orc]], and [[#Kobolds]] who were externally changed by draconic magic.

==== Goblins ====

The most numerous and the original branch from the [[creatures:Orgundi]], [[creatures:goblin|goblins]] are nearly as numerous as humans and except for the difficulties they have working magic could stand as the dominant species. Goblins are just as intelligent as humans, have several physically superior traits, and lack the blood-thirsty nature of a orc.

==== Hobgoblins ====

A successful offspring of a goblin and orc the nature of a hobgoblin depends on if the mother was an orc or goblin. Goblin fathers yield a hobgoblin with the physical traits of an orc and the mentality of an goblin, but still cursed with their blood-maddened nature. Still they represent a clear danger. If the mother is a goblin the hobgoblin looks more closely related to a goblin, but capable of working magic far too difficult for a goblin.


==== Kobolds ====

A [[creatures:Kobold]] is a goblin that was changed by the magic of a dragon. All kobolds descend from a single goblin tribe that lived near a powerful dragon. The dragon changed those goblins so they may better serve her. They were covered by small scales and took on a more dragon-like snout. They also changed shapes and near the end of their life would become a [[creatures:wyvern]]. Kobolds have now spread across the world.
