-Siguard is a cantankerous and powerful storm wizard that lives north of the town of [[atlas:Ulrichstein]] in a tower of stone that seems to always be coated with a thin layer of frost and ice.
-===== Early Life =====
-Siguard's parents were peasants who worked the lands of a long-absent lord. With no lord to whom they could appeal for justice, the small village suffered under the reeve. The reeve was a cruel man who took a much larger share of the crops than even the lord did when he was here. During a bitter winter when Siguard was in his twelfth winter his family was left with no food when the reeve was entertaining a merchant passing through the village and took their food and drink for his table.
-Siguard was angry and left his parents house to confront the reeve. Along the way he heard a voice cry out to him. The voice was not soothing or enticing, but filled to anger and retribution. He chased after the voice, but soon became hopelessly lost in the woods. Cold, wet, and tired he finally found shelter in a small outcropping of rocks. During the night the wind howled outside, but inside his shelter he remained safe.
-The next afternoon Siguard stumbled into the village, his clothes little more than rags. The reeve and merchant were talking in the village square when he found them. Again the voice roared in his mind pushing him to carry out his revenge. It promised him the power to punish his enemies if only he would call upon its power. Siguard called upon the power and killed both men with slashing frigid winds. Siguard left his village after that and has never returned.

-That voice was a sentient storm of the North Wind. It was drawn to Siguard and the two of them bonded themselves so tightly to the other that sometimes it can be difficult to tell them apart. For this reason Siguard can sometimes be thought to be unstable, crazy, or mercurial - but in fact this is the influence of the violent storm upon him. When the storm is quiet and its fury spent Siguard can at least sleep for a moment.
-Siguard can call upon the power of the North Wind and use it to strike down his enemies. This storm is semi-intelligent and does not simply give up its power willingly. It has no true motive or future plans - only instinct and need. It wants to vent it fury with lightning, snow, wind, and rain.
