- | |||
- | Iiro was born and raised in [[atlas:Bornheim]], by Fisherfolk. Like most fishers his family made money on the side for several of the smugglers in the city. As a child he worked in "Uncle" Warren's shop. His uncle was a Master Ropemaker and taught Iiro the trade. In 459 he was approached by a man representing the [[lore:Vulfgrau Trading House]]. By then he was a Journeyman roper and was expected to inherit his uncle's shop as his uncle had to surviving children.
- | |||
- | The next year his Master Warren was killed as he was leaving the tavern. Iiro inherited the shop and within a few days was accepted into the Ropemakers Guild, who was in Bornheim negotiated a new contract with the Merchant's Guild. Iiro is an affable man with short-cropped light-brown hair and dark eyes. His skill is well-known in the city, but rumors persist about the fortuitous circumstances that gave rise to his present station.
- | |||
- | When not at his shop or home, Iiro can often be found at the [[atlas:Rusty Anchor Tavern]].

- | |||
- | [[people:Oswald]] visited Iiro's shop and made contact with him. Oswald works with the Vulfgrau Trading House and planned on using Iiro to begin creating a dockside gang. Even with his reputation as a freebooter and pirate it was difficult to take the [[creatures:hashan]] seriously. Three existing gangs controlled the docks and would fight for every scrap of territory.
